Ross is many things, and once you get to know him, you will quickly find that out. An award-winning Bagpiper, he has competed and performed as a professional musician all over the world. From a very early age he began giving private lessons to all ages and abilities, all walks of life, and all social classes. From that early age, his skill set for working with people began to flourish.
Ross has led numerous groups and organizations throughout his life. He served as President of the House of Scotland International Cultural Cottage in Balboa Park for 2 years. For almost 5 years he served as President and Pipe Major of the House of Scotland Pipe Band, also of Balboa Park.
Ross organized and conducted weekly practices, arranged music, tuned instruments, and organized trips and competitions all around the world. He also served as Bagpipe Instructor for the San Diego Law Enforcement Emerald Society Pipes and Drums.
Ross has been a Community Volunteer his whole life. His volunteerism began while attending Kensington Community Church as a child, and on through his teenage years.
Today, Ross serves on a wide variety of Boards and Committees. He serves on his local Community Planning Group Board representing Rolando Village in the Eastern Area. He serves on the Board of Directors for the United Nations Association of San Diego, one of two chapters nationally to have special consultative status with the United Nations. He also served on the Criminal Justice Committee for the NAACP San Diego Branch.
Now, Ross looks forward to serving you on the San Diego City Council.
